The highlight of our trip to Lebanon was the Jeito Grotto. It’s a limestone cave just outside of Beirut. The cave is so big that it’s divided into upper and lower cave. The size of the chambers is simply breathtaking.

We took a taxi to the town of Jeita, the taxi driver waited while we visited the caves. (We paid around $60US for the taxi) Jeita is in the mountains so the temperature was much lower than in the city.

The caves were very high security. No camera equipments were allowed. A security checkpoint was setup at the entrance so people can put their cameras (including mobile phones) in the lockers. But we were sneaky, so we took some videos.

Instead of describing the caves, it would do the caves more justice to see the videos:
